Before long Abt Sportsline will be offering a discreet but nevertheless sporty-looking front spoiler lip as well as a rear spoiler for the VW Passat. When constructing the aerodynamic parts, great importance was attached to creating harmonious optical characteristics. The result is a sporty but not obtrusive appearance.

Additionally Abt Sportsline will be offering the five-spoke light alloy wheel SP for the new Passat. The one-piece cast aluminum wheel highlights the sporty and elegant appearance of the Abt model.

I’ve been in the market for a new car / SUV / Wrangler(!!!) for a couple months now and I can’t stop thinking about the Passat. I’ve always thought of it as a city family car and boring sibling of the younger, livelier Jetta but ABT’s iteration of the Passat is sleek, modern, sophisticated and luxy-luxy without all the bling$-bling$. Most of all, to me. it represents a subdued cool. A level of chill that could never be attained with an Audi, BMW, Infinity or Benz. I’ll drop more info when I learn prices / release dates and the like.

I’ve bee seeing a LOT of this car lately, sans the convertible roof (It was an aftermarket mod). It seems as though everyone is getting the Crysler 300c or the new Ford Mustang. I really like the Mustang, and I can understand why people young and old are buying them for the summer time… but…

Why the Crysler 300c?

It seems… bulky. I think the reason why I really don’t like it is because when it first came out, I thought they were all Bentleys. I was doing double takes every other second. Annoying. Which brings me to the question… is it a Bentley for the everyday man?

I can understand the ‘family’ applications for it. It’s stable, roomy and has a big trunk. But most of the 300c’s that I’ve seen are being driven by twenty/thirty somethings. What is its appeal? Does it represent the cool new cheaper sedan alternative to the Cadillac Escalade?

I’m not trying to give anyone shit for buying/wanting one. Do whatever you want with your money. I’m just wondering why it’s so damn popular. Did I miss something here?

I guess I haven’t been reading enough Maxim / Stuff / GQ / Car&Driver / InsertMakeMeCool&MasculineMagazine.

I own a 2000 Mustang and maneuvering a rear-wheel drive car in a Chicago Winter is a bitch. I never thought about buying one again… until I saw that. It’s so damn sexy and from what I read, it’s tough as nails too.

Just as the original Shelby GT500 was the “step up” to big-block power from the GT350, the new Ford Shelby Cobra GT500 steps up to Ford’s 5.4-liter “MOD” V-8. The result? The GT500 is the most powerful factory Mustang ever. Its supercharged 5.4-liter, 32-valve V-8 evolves from SVT’s experience with supercharging the “MOD” engine to deliver more than 450 horsepower and 450 foot pounds of torque.

Would I really buy it? Probably not. But if I did, I’d get it in a deep deep blue w/ the racing stripes. I just paid off Madison (my car’s name) last month and I’m happy that she’s all mine. Jaqui broke this news on the Sixth Generation Passat first. That car is fucking DIESEL. Not that the car runs on diesel gas, more in the context of… “Damn, did you see that guuurl!?!! She’s soooooo fucking DIESEL.” I can’t wait to see the release of the new Jetta. Hopefully it’ll have even more features.

The new Passat is a car which is just as stylish as it is functional, comfortable and well thought-out. Volkswagen has not only redesigned the major features – the engines, running gear and the body. To improve the mobile lifestyle, the cleverly-designed functional elements make all the difference.
