House S05E02: PI’s and Patients

Dr. Gregory House has a new avenue for information in a witty, unshaven and socially-inept private investigator. Think House, but without the Vicodin and the jaded outlook on life. TWO PEAS IN A POD. HILARIOUS.
NOW I KNOW WHERE THIS GUY IS FROM. Michael Weston guest starred 4 times as an injured serviceman (Private Brian Dancer – lol) on Scrubs. He’s also been on Six Feet Under, which is a series that I have yet to watch… and reminds me of a totally bangin’ track from the Sneaker Pimps. According to his wiki, he’s good friends with Zach Braff, which may have landed him parts in a few of Braff’s movies.
Apparently, the show’s creator, David Shore, will be creating a spin-off show with Weston’s character as the lead. I’d like to see the PI on House, but I’d feel like the show might get too bloated with characters… I still haven’t seen my breakout Kal Penn yet dammit! LOL.
Felicia Day did a great job as the patient, but in all honesty, I was more drawn to the Weston’s addition to the team. I’m glad Felicia’s character survives, but she didn’t have the screen time that allowed me to really connect with her. I absolutely LOVED her in Dr. Horrible, but I really did seem like her performance was stolen from the other underlying storylines. Can’t wait to see her in her next project tho! Hee hee.
Overall, great episode – as long as the writing team minds the bloat… I’ll watch for 5 MOAR seasons!
YAY House.
