All Things Chill

Stacy’s birthday was yesterday and Liana and Co decided to plan a week in advance to throw a surprise party. There were streamers, beautiful weather, birthday signs, a overly hyper dog and lots and lots of booze. There’s a Flickr album (22 pictures) here – all taken with the iPhone. YAY.

I was outfitted with food duty, so I marinated some shortribs Korean style and broke down 12 big bags of chicken wings and threw that in a mixture of honey and sesame oilovernight. I also brought in some roasted potatoes seasoned with furikake and sangria just like I made before.

We had beers, swung at pinatas (wish I had video lol), snacked on watermelon soaked in Basil Hayden bourbon in the sun, and later that night… sipped the sexiest chocolate martinis that I’ve had this side of the Mississippi. It’s nice to follow that up with leftovers the next day. EEEE.
