Adventures in Domesticating: A Jammed Garbage Disposal

ARGH. Plugged drain, now garbage disposal doesn’t work. WTF, you might mutter to yourself. Call Super Mario Brothers a plumber? Heck no! Call the INTERNETS! lawl.
The following household tip is from ehow.com:
Restore power to the machine. Most disposals have an overload switch that trips when the motor starts to overheat. To reset the switch, look for a small red button on the bottom of the housing, and if it’s there, push it in. If your disposal doesn’t have an overload switch or the machine still won’t run after you reset the switch, reset the circuit breaker that serves the disposal.
In my case, the button was black… but it worked just the same! Thank goodness I didn’t need to do anything dangerous like rewire something or reach down that hole to “test” it! It’s crazy to find out “things you should know when you’re an adult” by experience. There’s no real book for this kind of stuff… I mean, I’m sure there IS, but you won’t find me spending $19.99 on it. YOU KNOW HOW MANY CHICKEN NUGGETS THAT COMES TO? lol.
YAY I ARE DOMESTICATEDEDEDZ.
