All Crabbed Out

Man alive. After driving the 13+ hours from SF to Portland to Seattle, unpacking all the boxes, grabbin’ essentials (and ONLY essentials) @ Target, looking at furniture, setting up networks and meeting all the new neighbors… I am one tired fella.
And just when we thought we had enough time to chill and relax… Aaron and his friend Vince called to say that they were in town. They were hungry… and in the hierarchy of “needs” in my life… food always trumps sleep. ALWAYS. We google mapped “seafood” around the the Hyatt downtown and decided on the Crab Pot. EEEEEEEEEEE YYYYYYYUMMY.
To make things short, I chided them about keeping the inner-workings of Google a secret as we ate oysters, king crab, mussels, shrimp, andouille sausages and corn straight off the butcher paper that was set in front of us. Man, it was finger-lickin’ delicious! I dunno if it helped, but I feel like all of my culinary school training led up to the moment where I hit the crab legs so squarely with my wooden mallet that the ENTIRE PIECE OF MEAT WAS INTACT.
Finally, my life is complete. LOL
YAY CRAB!!!
