In-N-Out for Beginners

Larger view here. Liana was gracious enough to drive to the airport so we could pick up Jacqui for the Apple event yesterday. Thanks sweetheart! Right past the San Francisco Int’l airport (ooh, they redesigned), in Millbrae, is an In-N-Out. You can order from the menu (there’s only 3 actual hamburgers listed) OR… you can totally get funky with their secret menu. Secret menu, you ask? OH HELL YES.
In-N-Out has their own secret menu… BUT THERE’S SO MUCH MORE. I’ve posted about this before, but if you just want the down and dirty and EAT, I’ll give you ordering instructions for a memorable meal at the Inz and the Outz.
“The LauLau”
Grilled Cheese with Cheese Fries – light and an an Arnold Palmer
Meatless hamburger with lightly fried cheese fries and a 1/2 tea and 1/2 lemonade drink.“All Things Stuff’d”
A Triple Double – Extra Toast, Animal Style with Fries – Well Done and a Choco-Vanilla Swirl Shake
3 beef patties, two slices of cheese with grilled onions, “secret sauce,” lettuce, onion and tomato on a highly-toasted bun with extra crispy fries and a non-blended choco-vanilla shake.“In-N-Out Entree”
The Flying Dutchman and Fries – Animal Style, Well Done
Think chopped steak and potatoes. Hee hee. 2 beef patties, 2 slices of cheese without veggie or a bun with fries topped with cheese, “secret sauce” and grilled onions.
Or, you could get an Italian beef and cheddar croissant from Portillo’s and make me insanely jealous.
BRING IT TO THE WEST COAST!

although, their website DOES say “ALSO, Look for 3 new California locations in 2008!”
then again, that won’t help you too much now, will it..

I did have an Italian Beef from Portillo’s for lunch today (with hot peppers of course
)! But instead, I’m insanely jealous of your In-And-Out. We’re even!

“Ummmm yeah…I’d like a heart attack to go, with double bypass on the side…animal style, please!”
I think I am the only Californian left in this state that HATES In N Out. Ugh, I can *hear* my arteries clogging just thinking about it. =P
I am, however, intrigued by the meatless burger. Doesn’t that almost defeat the purpose of In N Out? Hee- hee!
