The demonstration auditions went pretty well. I feel pretty confident in my departure, now that there’s someone to pick up the work that I’ve been doing. After work, I jumped on a scooter (read: scary as hell LOL) and hung out with a couple of co-workers and had some drinks and appetizers at [...]

Wake. It’s early. I’m tired, but too restless to go back to sleep. I make it a point to never blog about work, but some candidates are auditioning for my job today… which I must say is a surreal thing. I purchased 3 sets of demonstration ingredients yesterday, making sure to [...]

It’s a repost, but when I’m frustrated… I blast the slower bpm’d Incubus songs and just chill with a glass of ice-cold chocolate milk (Godiva Chocolate Truffle) and a good book - anything thought provoking like Haruki Murakami, witty and blog-friendly like Chuck Klosterman or action-packed and sexy like the John Rain series.
Sigh. [...]

It’s already been mentioned here on the blog, but House (what happened to the “MD” appendage?) season four is premiering tonite @ 9EST / 8CST. Even though I’m on the west coast, I watch TV on the midwest’s clock (’cause of the Slingbox)… so that means I have to be home EXACTLY @ 6PM [...]

Youtube link here. Since I won’t be in San Francisco much longer, I wanted to show non-local bay area peeps (lol I’m sure I could have written that better) a tour of San Francisco’s Civic Center “Heart O’ the City” Famers’ Market. There’s a lil’ bit of tom-foolery with the elevators, street thugs, [...]

Oeufs Baron - Coddled Eggs, Pate & Mushrooms with Toast
Larger view here. After our trip to Seattle’s Le Pichet, I’ve been all over the delicate handling of eggs. Frying / scrambling eggs have been the last things on my mind ever since I took the time out to break the yolk with a [...]

So, lots of new TV out starting this week! I’m uber excited for Heroes, House, the Office and Grey’s Anatomy! I won’t be watching it live, of course… but I’ll be watching it none-the-less! Here’s a chronological list of what else I’m lookin’ forward to in the near future (via The TV [...]

IMEEM link here (attention: naughty lyrics). Big Poppa - Nororious B.I.G. is a track that 99% of the world takes for granted. Personally, as much as it is a mainstream classic… I love this song. Lots. Lyrically, it’s as conversational as it gets… I mean, he throws in Welch’s Grape in [...]

No time to post… just a couple tweets from my Twitter feed:
OMG. I just saw Gina Coconato on SpikeTV!!!
8-hour shift “on-boarding” new employees, then another 5 hours @ the restaurant. What a wonderfully productive day!
Got the sous-chef from The Ritz-Carlton of Half Moon Bay comin’ in to do a demo in my kitchen… should [...]

GameVideos.com link here. Ok, you need to watch this video, especially if you’re not a Halo fan… only because you’ll discover that there’s a lot more than just a bunch of rowdy teens using explitives and tea bagging each other non-stop. There’s so much more. Watch, and behold the hype-machine that is [...]

Seared Thyme and Rosemary Pork Chops with a White Wine Dijon Sauce served atop a bed of Lemon-Dressed Lentils
Larger view here. When I was little, my mom always made munggo - or mung beans - with big bowl of rice and a few scraps of pork for flavor. It was always one of [...]

No sleep for the next week. Gotta get this code to scale.
WOW! Not that bad for being live for < 24 hours! I’ve been testing mint.com since it was in alpha, so I’m REALLY happy to see them [...]
