I Heart Meebo!

So I guess I should say that I’ve been using meebo for the past couple of days. Dearest LauLau (lol) uses it a lot and I figure I’d give it a try. So Herschell, WHAT THE HELL IS IT? Haha, you impatient bastard, the squeeky wheel will get the oil… THIS TIME. PR blurb follows:
Meebo.com is a website for instant messaging from absolutely anywhere. Whether you’re at home, on campus, at work, or traveling foreign lands, hop over to meebo.com on any computer to access all of your buddies (on AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, Google Talk, ICQ and Jabber) and chat with them, no downloads or installs required, for free!
So yeah, I’m rockin’ AIM, Yahoo, MSN and gTalk all @ the same time. I think that qualifies as Internet bling or something. What’s most surprising is that there isn’t a crazy memory buffer overflow thingie that slows down my 100th viewing of OMG BABY KITTEN FALLS ASLEEP. OK ENOUGH TALK, more uhh… chatting.
w00p w00p chitty chitty chat chat!

I was tipped about Meebo about six months ago, by a colleague. You see, the customer we work for blocks IM clients at their firewall. But this gets through effortlessly, since it’s just normal HTTP traffic
Their service seems to work rather nicely, if you’re willing to leave your username and password set up on their site.

I’ve been using Meebo for a loooong time now. I love the embedded chat widget on my blog so that readers can chat with me (when I’m online, that is) from my front page.
Yep…AIM,Yahoo Messenger and gTalk all at the same time on the same screen! Woot!

Seems like you’re preaching to the choir again… I learned about Meebo about six months ago, too.
I don’t use it much these days but it’s a nice option to have.
