More SF with Steph

Stephanie and I took a couple hours to chill in the Cow Hollow district yesterday afternoon. Now this is my kind of neighborhood (probably because it costs an arm and a leg to live out here)! Hee hee. We had lunch @ Pacific Catch, which was situated well enough to sit outside under the sun… which also meant that it was a perfect spot to people watch. YAY.
Steph ordered the Hawaiian Poke wasabi rice bowl, filled with huge chunks of fresh fish (I believe it was ahi tuna), avocado slices, seaweed salad and the nice touch of daikon sprouts. I wasn’t as hungry, so I threw down on a side of grilled artichokes (zomg tasty) and a small plate of sweet potato fries. It was a delightful meal… especially if you’re looking for a quick bite if you’re tourist-ing around San Francisco.
After the meal, we decided to walk off the meal and shop around a bit… but before we even set foot in a store, Steph told me that there was this ice cream parlor we couldn’t miss. LOL. Ice cream… in February. Ridiculous. So anyway, we entered Mitchell’s, deliberated on flavors… and decided that a combination of buko (young coconut) and lychee would be scooped on a sugar cone. YAY. The flavors matched well… and we didn’t spill anything! HOORAY. One note: We had a hard time keeping the damn thing vertical, since the heavier and more stable scoop of buko was crushing the lychee scoop flat… so try to keep an engineer’s mind when selecting your ice cream! Haha.
We hit the park shortly thereafter, and watched people fly kites on the grass and float their lil’ boats on the water. MMMMmmm… California. Le sigh. Hee hee.
Good times, good times.
