DL Mixset: My House Is Broken… On Purpose.
Jorge (a.k.a. The Curious J a.k.a. The Monstro Dongo a.k.a. Mr. N) did his set of his weekly show, Sashiko Sessions, on the Dogglounge yesterday… and since it was rockin’, I wanted to keep the vibe goin’ for just a liiiiittle while longer. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how my latest mixset was born.
**theatrical pause**

Special*Dark – Biopsy of a Beat Broken (Runtime 43 minutes)

You can download the mixset here (Right click and select “Save As…”). It was a short one, but I was really happy with that extra-jazzy broken beat vibe.
It starts off with a strong broken beat track by Jazzanova, continues with a sprinkling of Jazztronik, peaks @ a spoken word vocal by Louie Vega and quickly chills down for a smooth ending with Aromabar. I’d definitely pair this mixset with a a plate of endives, blue cheese and a glass of a spicy, full-bodied Petitle Sirah by Consentino. Oh, don’t forget the teensy addition of someone you’re attracted to… that’s what this music is for!
Tracks that create tension. Tension that needs to be resolved.
