All Things Chill

I did a french toast demonstration yesterday afternoon for a bunch of adorable families and lovey-dovey couples. Here’s the recipe:

6 eggs
1 cup cream
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp kosher salt
3/4 tsp vanilla

I just whisked all the ingredients together, plopped the bread to soak for a few mins (I used buttermilk bread) and placed them in a buttered non-stick pan over med-low heat. I then whipped 4 cups of heavy whipping cream with about 1/2 cup of sugar in a Kitchen-Aid mixer. To make the topping, I melted some sugar in another non-stick pan and added thinly sliced apples and caramelized them to a sexy golden brown. I also fabricated powdered cinnamon sugar in a mini coffee grinder and sprinkled it all on top.

I fed the cutest kids! I want to have kids like that one day. Hee hee.

I guess this job is just practice for my own future family.
