ZOMG I’M SO TIRED. LOL. Anyway, the folks over at Dattebayo fansubs, the group responsible for translating and sub-title-ing the wildly popular Naruto Anime series, decided that their other projects need a little boost:

Due to rapidly declining download counts of the last 5 Pitagora Switch releases, Dattebayo Fansubs, LLC is forced to take immediate action to improve end of quarter earnings. Pitagora switch WILL be downloaded and enjoyed by fans worldwide, and as a special event, Dattebayo Fansubs is offering a one-day delay of Naruto 209 release in order to allow everyone to sample the great Pitagora Switch show. As soon as recently released episode 0426 of Pitagora Switch reaches 50,000 unique downloads, Dattebayo will release Naruto 209.
About Pitagora Switch:
Each episode is a mixture of live-action animation, puppetry, Rube-Goldberg machines and algorithm marches. Each episode has a runtime of 15 minutes. The title of the show is derived from what Rube-Goldberg devices are called in Japanese.
Hilarious. They’re holding a HUGE ASS CARROT over thousands of people’s heads just so they can bring more attention to another series. Do I agree with it? Hell no. Will I bother downloading whatever they want me to? Nopes. Am I impressed with their strategy? Hell yes. They have a huge monopoly, and they’re exploiting it to its fullest potential. Kudos to whoever thought of the idea. What’s the most disturbing about this move is that it’ll actually work, which will probably set off all sorts of copy-cats all over the nets. Asshats.
It’s stupid… but it’s smart.
