Autumn & Spec: Date Numero Dos
First date. Second date @ Destino. She was feelin’ Peruvian, so I oblidged. I knew James, the owner / exec, chef, from a demo back in September, and I finally had a chance to stop by and chill. The restaurant itself had a very intimate decor, perfect for first meetings and informal gatherings.
We started off with Pisco sours, mojitos (on par with *that* bar in Chicago), chicken empanadas, ahi tuna / quinoa ceviche (!!!) and chile rellenos. All tapas style. All delicious. HOORAY for shared plates! If you’re ever in SF, check out James’ place… its the closest thing to visiting Peru you can get… well without *actually* visiting there. Hee hee.
Lots of good food, wonderful company…
…and a perfect way to start the night.
