There is not enough time to do all the nothing we want to do.”
-Bill Watterson
Creator of Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson created a comical world that honestly influenced my outlook on life ever since I was a kid.
He is my personal hero.
Amen Bill, Amen.

Incubus’ newest album, Light Grenades, is absolutely wonderful. The band is just too good @ being relevant in my life. The first track, Quicksand, possesses an ethereal ambiance that makes you feel uneasy and hopeful @ the same damn time. I love the way it just melts into track #2: A Kiss [...]

Lady Scarlet,
Here is a link to all of my Relationship posts that I told you about earlier. Please don’t judge… I was younger (two years) and more innocent (yeah right) back then. Haha. Oh, and please leave your adorable dogs in the garage, we’ll have a lot to talk about in the [...]

I did a french toast demonstration yesterday afternoon for a bunch of adorable families and lovey-dovey couples. Here’s the recipe:
6 eggs
1 cup cream
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp kosher salt
3/4 tsp vanilla
I just whisked all the ingredients together, plopped the bread to soak for a few mins (I used buttermilk bread) and placed them in a [...]

Push play, close your eyes and listen to Corinne Bailey Rae’s “Put your records on.” She is adorable! It’s the latest song added to my “chill iTunes playlist.” It makes all the warm fuzzies in my tummy all… well… warm and fuzzy. Hee hee. Whenever it comes on (and trust [...]

First date. Second date @ Destino. She was feelin’ Peruvian, so I oblidged. I knew James, the owner / exec, chef, from a demo back in September, and I finally had a chance to stop by and chill. The restaurant itself had a very intimate decor, perfect for first meetings and [...]

2AM. Starving. Food? Jasmine rice. 1 can of Spam. 1 pkg of ready to eat lentils. I cook rice. I fry Spam. I heat lentils. I serve 2 bowls. I take one bite and smile. Back “home,” this was my mom’s no-nonsense, last-minute [...]

“…the man with the most quarters is king.”
Haha, this has been a long post coming… ever since I talked to Jaclyn about it in Chicago. Quarters, the monetary denomination I only used for gumball machines, have become such a ridiculous staple in everyday life in downtown *anywhere*.
Before I purchased a bus / [...]

Casino Royale. DOPENESS. What a movie! This latest Bond installment took a handful of pop culture and seamlessly intertwined it in the movie. There was a TON of action within the first 20 minutes of the movie… packed with a load of great Parkour:
Parkour is a physical discipline inspired by human [...]
