On The Go… But Still Connected.
When asked to express what “on-the-go technology” meant to me, I had to hold back the blanket “ZOMG I <3 THE INTERNETS” answer and really think things through. Here’s what I ended up writing:
Having a blog and being able to post video / mixes / thoughts to one place (allthingschill.com) for everyone to see gave me the courage to move to a completely new city 2,131 miles away from my hometown… and still keep the the friendships that I’ve had growing up intact.
Whether it be smack-talking on Halo, random hellos on instant messaging services, picture phone messages, or just a general video webcasts… I can keep my loved ones up to date about my life whenever or wherever I want… without getting in the way of experiencing so many new things.
That’s the first time I’ve actually sat down at my desk and thought about how crazy this humongous network of computers really is. Yup. That’s about it.
I guess I’ll marinade on that for a while
