Monday, I Love You.
No work after class today… and I just chilled the hell out ALL DAY. I took a healthy 2-hour nap and woke up to a grumbly tumbly. I found what I could in the fridge and I came up with a decent meal:
Baby field greens with shallots, Danish blue cheese and toasted cashews served wtih braised spicy Italian sausage patties with fettucinni and Pecorino goat cheese.
I made the bulk sausage (bulk == no casing) at home and formed them into patties, seared ‘em on both sides and braised them in a little white wine and chicken stock. After I took out the patties with a slotted spoon and drained 5/6 of the oil, I added the noodles with a lil’ bit of the starch-i-fied pasta water. Instant pasta sauce!
So yeah, lots of relaxing.
No stress… no drama…
Just a whole lotta chill.
