Don’t Watch, Just Listen
Incubus Incubus Incubus. I can’t get enough. They just cut some new songs for the official soundtrack (OST) of Stealth, which will undoubtedly be the WORST movie this summer. Sucks. OST’s have always been a big cross promotion nightmare / inter-corporate circle jerk / disappointment, but at least Incubus didn’t suffer. Their three new songs: Make a Move, Admiration and Neither of Us Can See (my favorite) are worth a listen.

“Neither of Us Can See,” a duet with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Chrissie Hynde, will play over the movie’s closing credits. The inspiration to use two singers — this is Boyd’s first duet — came early in the writing process. “When we were conceptualizing the song, it became obvious that we needed two voices to capture the different facets of this song,” Boyd says. “Chrissie came in and added another dimension to the song.”

I love Make A Move, but the guitar riff is straight-up Tom Morello. Seriously, someone listened to a few hours of RATM before recording that track. But, that’s why I like it.
