Paisley: It’s Not Just For Grandpas Anymore
Same concept as before: Find a website, make some combinations and wax poetic. I chose Banana Republic: The standard for many lost sheep young professionals. Here’s my pick for this week:
Besides outfitting 1/2 of Manhattan, the Banana Republic has been known to throw down on experimental tip too. Not feeling the the paisley tie? Yeah. I would’ve agreed with you 6 months ago. I wouldn’t wear this tie with any solid color shirt (especially purple / lavender) ’cause it would be input overload. But when paired with the “Hey I’m Mr. Architect Logic Man” graph dress shirt, the patterns play off of each other and bring a sense of order to all of that chaos.
Use a double windsor knot on the tie since it’ll look best with your new shirt’s elevated double-button spread collar. Wear the combo with a dark grey three button suit or charcoal slacks to complete the look and you’re all set for a night out on the (up)town. w00p w00p!
