All Things Chill

Wow. It’s been a while. I can’t believe I left that ‘pork chop’ post up for so long. That was supposed to be a ‘throw away post’ to be followed by another fun cool she-bangs she-bangs post about something amazing going on in my life. Too many things to really get into detail about… soooooo… let’s get psyched about lists!

• Alice is home and we made penne pasta with cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, asparagus and fresh basil. No fuss… just cook the asparagus and pasta, cut the basil into a chiffonade and mix! The cheese melts when combined with the freshly cooked pasta.
• Alice and I also went to RAM where we shared a Kobe Beef burger with their homemade (kettle?) chips with cheese. Oishi!
• Jason, Jeff, Justin and I went to Fry’s so I could pick up a floor mat for my desk chair. I also got some rechargeable batteries and Logitech’s X-530 5.1 surround sound speaker system. I’ll post more on that later.
• I setup all of my dj equipment yesterday morning and I did 2 (count ‘em TWO) unannounced mixsets on DOGGLOUNGE since then. The “With Friends Like These Who Needs Special*Dark” and “Alive & Well with Special*Dark” mixsets will be available soon on my ‘mixes’ archive tab @ the top of the page.
• Another thing. Final Scratch didn’t work with Apple’s release of the Tiger operating system. I just found a fix last week… which saved me a couple frustrating hours of wiping / reinstalling Panther and THEN installing Tiger. Thank goodness. It even works better than before! I <3 Tiger.
• I finally cracked open my new EPSON Stylus Photo R300. I’ve had it sitting in a box for a while and I decided to bust it open yesterday. IT PRINTS ON CD/DVD! I haven’t used it yet, but I’ll do a write-up when I get a chance.
• Mark got a new job! w00p w00p! So maybe he’ll stop being so fucking cranky all the time. LOL. Whoops! Good luck man… you’re my best friend… I hope you’re happy.
• Naruto movie? Eh. I needed more fighting. More drama. More SOMETHING. Decent flick, only if you’re a Naruto fan tho. 2.5 out of 5 stars.
• My home setup is DOPE now that it’s 90% done. I have EVERYTHING where I want it to be. Besides a few connectors / adapters that I need from Radio Shack, I can say that I’m very happy with it. Just don’t look behind my desk. Even with my best efforts, it’s already a wire jungle back there.
• Jason let me borrow some DVD’s since he’s the DVD king. I’m excited to watch the Director’s Cut of Leon The Professional and Dare Devil. I’ve never seen Dare Devil before and Jeff and Justin said that the Director’s cut made it better. I finally get to see Shaolin Soccer again. This time, not in bad BOOTLEG omgwheredidyougetthisshit quality.

Ok. Check back tomorrow and I’ll have (hot) links to EVERYTHING I’m talking about. Mark’s wife (shudder) just threw a wedding shower and there’s a ton of food to be eaten. I’m encoding the last mixset right now and when I finish uploading it, I’ll make sure to post it right away. Man oh man. It’s been a crazy past 4 days. I’m so beat. I keep thinking that I have to go back to my old job when I wake up in the mornings. It feels good that I have some freedom before I start my new career path. This weekend is gonna be killer. Milwaukee here I come!
