Catching Up And Eating Well

I had dinner with Rhoda today. We ate @ an Argentinian restaurant in Chicago (Thanks Jorge). It was PACKED, but we finally got a table when they opened the back room. The dj was excellent as always, spinning some really deep dub tracks (on Final Scratch!). The atmosphere was excellent and perfect for chillin’ out and catching up with a good friend.
Drinks? Mojitos all around. Its a mixture of rum, sugar, lime juice and a splash of club soda. 4 drinks and some deep conversation later… We flagged our waitress down and…
…ordered the empanadas platter (A sampling of spinach, ham and cheese, chicken and pork savory pastries) and the beef shish kebabs. They also include this incredibly flavorful parsely, garlic and oil mixture that, if publically accepted, could be eaten by itself. I wish I could just take a full bottle of that stuff home with me. If I ever get the courage to ask for the recipes, I’ll let you know. It would even make Vienna Sausages taste decent! *GAG*
What a wonderful way to spend a night.
