NEW ANIME! I love it. I’ve been watching School Rumble (Japanese site) and it somewhat fills the void that “Love Hina” and “Fruits Basket” left so many moons ago. The .torrent files can be found on Baka Updates.

Instead of copy and pasting someone else’s summary (like I always do), let me summarize into 3 little words: Bizzare Love Triange. Harima Kenji (Tough Guy / Thug) Likes Tsukamoto Tenma (Hopelessly-in-Love / Ever-so-Innocent) Likes Ohji Karasumaru (100% Mr. Oblivious) who LOVES curry. Oh, and Tenma’s sister (The character pictured above) can read the thoughts of all males. It makes for an interesting series. It’s great to ‘chill out’ to on a Sunday morning.

Watching Harima (the badass) try to win Tenma’s heart is really fun to watch. The supporting cast is cute too, so you don’t have to worry about getting bored with *just* the main characters. The music is ‘whistle-able’ and the animation and character design is smooth and very diverse. Click on the picture above for an illustrated summary of the following text from School Rumble’s OST.

The leading character Tenma Tsukamoto is a junior high student. Like all other girls, Tenma is in love with her classmate Ohji Karasuma. But she was unable to express her feelings to him. One day, Tenma finds out that he will be transferring to another school in a year. She makes up her mind to confess her love before his departure. In order to do so, Tenma disguises herself as a nurse or tries to send a love letter with an arrow but all in vain… But she never gives up. On the other hand, school gang leader, Kenji Harima is in love with Tenma but Tenma doesn’t realize his feelings at all. Then, one summer day, Tenma and her friends decide to go to a short trip to the beach. Harima’s plan to improve their relationship at the trip goes wrong… Tenma somehow gets the wrong idea that Harima is in love with Mikoto… What will happen to their love between Tenma, Ohji and Harima???
