So I hopped on allthingschizzil using Internet Explorer this morning, and it was reloading every 2 seconds without any indication of why. I did a ctrl+F5 (Browser Force Refresh) and things were back to normal. Whatever. Got me thinking how many people this affected and other reader site stats. And yes, this is my obligatory fashionably late contribution to the Firefox movement.
1/2 of you reach my site through the RSS feeds. SUUGGOOOII!!!/Amazing!!! Give yourself a cookie.. because I’m proud of you! This also alleviates any pressure from redesigning my site every 2 seconds… at least that’s how I think it works anyway ![]()
Almost 60% of the daily ‘BROWSER’ reader base uses Firefox. And that’s great! Another 20% use non-IE programs such as Safari, Lynx, Netscape and Opera. And what was most surprising was that the last 20% rock IE 6.0, which is better than the older versions I suppose.
Google is your favorite search engine, demolishing all hopes for Yahoo, MSN and AOL’s chances for search supremacy (Well, for this site anyway). Windows is a clear favorite (73%), but most of the readership hits the site @ werk so I guess that’s understandable. Mac users come in @ 15.2% and Linux users… umm… let’s just say that I’m happy that you’re here! Maybe it’ll change with the intro of the Mac Mini… I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
