Something That I Use Everyday | Issue #1

I went to a new Target with J that was built on the outskirts of downtown Chicago (It was on the way to Joy Yee’s in Chinatown) a couple weeks ago and randomly bought some shampoo. Not any ordinary shampoo, but Modern Organic Products’ Basil Mint Shampoo for normal to oily hair .
If your hair feels like it’s carrying the weight of the world, lift away dirt, pollutants + oil with this cleansing shampoo containing extracts of certified organic peppermint, basil, sage + rosemary. Leaves hair fresh + lively, full of healthy shine and bounce.
I have relatively short hair (remember when it was called the Clooney?) so it allows me to really “get all up onz” the minty tingle on my scalp when I use the stuff. Reminds me back in the day when I had chronic dandruff and I had to leave Selson Blue on my head overnight. That, paired with the headgear for my teeth, the ducky pajamas that my mom made me wear, and the rubber gloves filled with camphor, made me feel like a caterpillar waiting to become a beautiful butterfly. Sigh.. the good ol’ days of living in a plastic bubble.
I really appreciate well-designed packaging. I’m a sucker when it comes to the decision between equally performing products. I always default to the product that has better packaging. I’d pay a more than few cents more for good functionaliy, form and style. Unless its an everyday 50 cent can of corn or econo-box of waffles, I really care about the aesthetic qualities of the products that I interact with everyday.
Remember now, product design has a limit of 3% of the total cost of a product. That 3% screams volumes on a consumer like myself ’cause I know that good product designers are hard to find. 3d renderings of a product don’t just make themselves. It takes planning, focus, a pretty powerful computer, and a bunch of time sitting on your ass drinking beer and eating pizza while the computer renders the image. I appreciate their efforts, and I believe it makes a difference when making consumer decisions.
In conclusion, I like pretty shit. ![]()
