You can love your PETS toaster oven, but you can’t LOOOOOVE them

So I was crusin’ Anandtech’s Hot Deals when I stumbled on this nugget of joy.
This is what Moochadime had to say about his GE Toaster Oven:
We bought THIS awhile back when our small oven died on us. We now make it the most used appliance in the house. My wife bakes in it, grills in it (hot dogs and polish omg my mouth is watering) and we rotisserie in it. We have cooked chicken, ham, and roasts in it so far and never have I had stuff so juicy in my life.
By far the best food ever comes out of it and we havent lit our regular oven in a long time. Why buy a showtime rotisserie that only does one thing when you can do it all for a third of the price. For $50 with a rotisserie you will not find a better deal PERIOD! Can be picked up at some locations (we found it next town over and one left too )
Been using it almost every day for the last 4 months or so with no problems. Also comes fully loaded with everything you could need.
“OK cool.” I think to myself. I might actually buy this. I mean… you can never beat the salesmanship or quality that Ronco provides, but for one-third the price, it doesnt sound so bad. Then I read on… the horror the horror!!!
After every single post from another forum member, he replies with semi-useful information. Some poor soul asks a question about this “Gift from God”:
Dabuddha: Hmm so you can cook a whole chicken in it? Rotating and all?
4 minutes later
Moochadime: All the time!!!! Just make sure you pick up some cooking string so you can tie the legs and wings back. In 1 hour and 20 minutes you will be eating some of the best chicken in your life CHEAP! I believe it can do up to a 3 pound roast in it. When wife comes home I will see where she stuck the manual if needed but it is a very good size.
and another…
Fritzo: We had one but returned it. Takes up WAY too much counter space. I like doing the beercan chicken method anyway
6 minutes later
Moochadime: Ours sits on our only counter space and with what comes out of that black box I will never get rid of it no matter how much space it takes up. In fact I got hungy making this thread so I am making polish in it as I write this for breakfast
I buy the super cheap polish from aldi’s. Get like 30 for $3 and oh so good.
again…
KAMAZON: Hmmm i’m tempted to buy this. How hard is it to clean the chicken and so on? Is it mostly just good for Chicken? How about those Gyro/Shwarma things I see? i wonder if this could do that.
1/2 an hour later (mustve been on break
)
Moochadime: No you can cook what ever your heart desires in this thing. We cook everything we can in it. Clean up is a breeze acording to my wife. As far as wht you mentioned to cook I dont knwo what that is but if it is supposed to cook going around and around it will do it. I can go on and on about this thing and how great everything goes into it comes out. My wife bakes cakes in it, does bisquets, if it needs to be cooked and not in a pot it goes in it.
I my wife prefers it to the oven. She had told me if the frozen pizzas would fit in it she would never use the big oven again. By pizzas were talking tombstone. They are 2 inches to big. The cheap kids ones fit perfect.
He just goes on and on… proclaiming his undying love for this “best thing since sliced bread”
15 posts total for a toaster oven. LOL. I’ll prolly buy one because of this guy… but STILL the PURE RIDICULOUSNESS OF IT ALL!
Last thoughts… this pic was titled “Can anyone say YUMMY!!!”

Is that Diet Rite with a $20 hunk of meat?

Mmmmm…. Bahahha.. That thing looks nice.. My friend Steve is wild for novelty appliances so this is right up his alley… Showed it to ‘em and I think he’s sold on it already.. We’ll have to compare notes, eh?
I’ll let you know if he goes crazy on the message boards, too.. Hahaha..
